So Now Is The Time To Shit Or Get Off The Pot--Don E. Chute

Thursday was a Call To Action Day, organized by The Tea Party Patriots.   The mission of the call was to personally visit a member of Congress in our respective State Districts and voice our displeasure with the deplorable 'WIN' the GOP leadership screwed we the citizens with.  They promised us 100 billion in budget cuts (which is only a promise, a spending cut is a done deal).  Then negotiated  38.5 billion  in budget cuts (boy I wouldn't want to take leader Boehner to help buy a Car), which is really only 352 million according to the scoring by the Congressional Budget Office.

With all that The Republicans were categorized as evil and draconian.  We were armed with a letter to our Congressperson addressing our displeasure and several key points to raise:  Vote NO on any Tax increases---Vote NO to raise the debt ceiling---Vote YES to pass the 'Full Faith and Credit Act'.  The FFCA would guarantee that all tax revenues generated would FIRST be applied to pay the interest on the debt.  This would quell the fear mongering the leftists have been proclaiming to the  doom, and ruin to the USA if they just don't get another Credit Card.

So how did it all turn out?  Pretty well actually.  My daughter and I, as well as another couple vented our key points to several of  Rep. Tom Rooney's local staffers.  They were actually commiserating with us the same frustrations.  rep. Rooney (R) of the 16th district in Florida was absent.

Staff assured us that our letters would be forwarded to Rooney's Wasingtion office where they handle 'legislative matters', the local office in Stuart Florida only handles 'constituent services'.  They encouraged us to contact Rep (R) Rooney in D.C. with our concerns, which I already have via email.

Not sure of how the total results from The Tea Party Patriots Call To Action with The Deal In The District went yet.  But I figure it's kind of like exercise and sex, something is better than nothing.

I encourage you to register with teapartypatriots.org to become involved in a historic grass roots movement to limit the size of government and restore honor to the political process.  In addition I have another link that will get you further down into the roots of the grass roots and that is, FreedomWorks  it dovetails along with the Tea Party (you can register with one the other or both), in that it FreedomConnects you with folks in your district to meet, greet, organize events, and to participate in YOUR GOVERNMENT  on a local level.
